Event Details
When: 30th September 2020
Time: 1800 to 1915
Where: Online

Software Delivery Assessment is a tool and a model for assessing and developing teams across various aspects of their practices. Based on Spotify’s Squad Healthcheck, it helps managers support a culture of software delivery while respecting their teams’ autonomy and differences.

This event is for you if you are forming a new team to build a new digital product or seeking to get the best from a more established technology department. Encourage a culture in which engineers, and your products, will flourish and establish a supportive set of technical practices.

Software delivery guru Matthew Skelton has assembled a collection of criteria on which teams can self-rate their practices and outcomes. Based on the latest advice from experts and best-selling authors in a range of disciplines, the model defines a set of sixty-six targets in six disciplines. If analyzed with care, the data produced will allow you to step in to support and nurture your culture and practices in a targeted and respectful way.

In this session, Matthew will be introducing this model and talking about how he came about creating it. This will be followed by a discussion of how the model has been applied in practice including using the Software Delivery Assessment card deck.

Matthew Skelton is the author of the hit-book Team Topologies and the founder of Conflux.
