World Retrospective Day: Paul Goddard's Retrospective Lexicon

World Retrospective Day: Paul Goddard's Retrospective Lexicon

  • Event date: 26th March 2020
  • Video Conference
  • Session will start at 5:30pm and finish at 6:30pm

About the session:

Retrospectives are pretty powerful meetings. They deal with the emotional, human side of work and are a time to reflect, create shared understanding and agree on action items.

Sometimes team members will have a lot to say and you'll end up having lengthy discussions but with no concrete action points, and sometimes you'll have situations where team members hold back or loose interest and not enough constructive discussion happens to get the feedback you want.

Whatever the outcome, words play an important part, in any meeting, not just retrospectives but they are especially important when emotions are high, and that's what makes Paul's creation very clever. His unique offering 'The Retrospective Lexicon' helps choose the right words at the right time in a retrospective discussion to capture your feelings and thoughts and helps structure your session to get those concrete action items at the end. Expect the session to be fun, interactive and insightful!
