The new Scrum Leader’s Guide & Journal is for any Agile leader or coach from aspiring to advanced. It will guide your own thoughts as you develop Agile teams to higher performance. Simple yet powerful templates help you to reflect efficiently on your own progress and the achievements of those you coach. It will remind you to prepare well for key Agile events and help you to guide continuous improvement.
The Scrum Leader’s Guide & Journal has a flexible format to fit around your chosen sprint length and rituals cadence. Hence it is compatible with any Agile approach including Scrum, Kanban, Disciplined Agile®, SAFe®, LeSS, Nexus, AgilePM®, DSDM. Feedback shows that the guide is equally valuable for a new scrum master or a high performing established Agile leader. The benefits to you will include clarity of thought and clarity of intention. Regular mindful reflection will help you recognise your own achievements and to celebrate how you help others. A simple and attractive record of evidence motivates you to continuously improve yourself and others - even during the toughest of weeks.
Each page includes guidance to help you to prepare for each key stage or event and to reflect later, followed by tips and inspiring quotes. Select and sequence the pages to fit your chosen way of working and your local sprint length. Use the reverse sides for extra notes or lists. If you use pure Kanban you might decide if and when to use the start and end templates. I think they remain useful in any approach. The journal will guide you through at least 10 sprints or iterations. Each refill pack adds more sprints to your journal PLUS any recent enhancements based on continuous feedback.
